Join me on my journey in week 2 to get healthy and lose weight. I will be tracking my food intake, exercise, weight loss, and anything else that might help me get on the right track to living a healthy lifestyle.

This video will look at week zero of the PowerPlan.  A step by step guide of what to expect in the initial week from downloading tools from our website to planning your daily exercise.  Once the PowerPlan book has been read and understood you are encouraged to create a food diary, think of your food choices, improve your food options, understand B.M.I and track your progress using the two pound line.
Once week zero is complete you will need to review your previous week’s food diary to see how many calories you are eating on a daily basis.  The focus is to reduce these calories as much as possible by home cooking and buying a better lower calorie brand as an alternative food substitution.

This week you are encouraged to set your short term personal goals for your immediate weight loss and set long term goals for ill health avoidance.  Along with setting your daily calorie and walking targets using our B.M.R tool, you will get off with a flying start.

In past videos, in order to lose weight, we needed to count calories and not indulge in too many treats. But in this video, we'll see how counting calories can help you lose weight without feeling deprived even with a treat day in the week where you can eat 1,000s of calories.

This is the week where we start to turn our new habits into a daily routine, and that is when the pounds start dropping off without even thinking about it.
Every year, millions of people start a dieting regimen, but most of them end up right back in the same spot in less than six months.

The reason for this is the Diet Plateau. The Diet Plateau is when your body becomes used to your new eating habits and weight loss slows down or stops. This generally happens around week 5 when using commercial or traditional diets.

Different Weight Loss Plans and The Effect of Each on Our Body

Dieting can be a difficult process. You need to research and find the most effective diet that is tailored to your needs and dietary restrictions. This is where weight loss comparisons can help you.

 

Weight loss can be achieved by changing your diet or by changing your lifestyle. If you are not sure which one to choose, you should carefully look at the pros and cons of each approach.

 

The following example compares dieting attempts in 2019-2021 to discover how much body weight can be lost in a single week.

 

The Cabbage Soup Diet achieved a personal weight gain of one pound.  This result is mainly due to the diet being dull and boring along with excessive side effects of the sodium from the fresh supermarket vegetables. Due to the sodium side effects, this dieting attempt had to be abandoned after two days, the final body weight was taken.

 

The Keto Pro Capsule Diet achieved a personal weight gain of one pound.  The concept is to simply take two capsules per day and watch the fat melt away.  There is no need for food changes in your daily routine, although a sample Keto recipe booklet was included with the Keto Pro Capsules.  This weight gain in the first week was highly disappointing but does point out the need for eating healthy and exercising regularly that will help us to maintain or improve our weight.

 

The U.C.L.P (Ultimate Cholesterol Lowering Plan) Diet achieved a personal weight gain of one pound.  Due to the N.H.S recommending this diet plan this result was extremely surprising as this diet focuses on weight loss along with cholesterol improvement.  This diet lasted for 6 months and resulted in an overall weight gain of 7 pounds.  This disappointment was worsened as my good cholesterol level decreased and my bad cholesterol level increase with an end overall cholesterol level of 4.7 instead of the 4.1 at the start of this diet.

 

The U.C.L.P. diet concludes with the combined good and bad cholesterol levels being under 5.0, based on this result the N.H.S summarize this was a successful diet plan.

 

The Carnivore Diet achieved a personal weight loss of five pounds.  This diet involves eating only animal products.  People following a carnivore diet consume a large amount of meat, such as beef, pork, poultry and offal along with dairy products or eggs.  The carnivore diet is sometimes referred to as the "all-meat diet" or "zero carbohydrate diet" when adapted to become a more restrictive version.  The medical sector simply disapproves of this diet due to excessive weight loss of up to 8 pounds per week where the nutrition excludes vitamin C that is not found in meat.

 

This PowerPlan Lifestyle Change achieved a personal weight loss of six pounds and outperformed the other diets tested at the time.  Weight loss and escaping diabetes type 2 is achieved using 17 habits that show body improvement within the initial week.  Due to using the easily formed habits, they become difficult to break in everyday life.
