Quick and Easy Custard - Dessert Bliss in a Flash!

Ingredients



  • Custard Powder (15 grams)
  • Semi-Skimmed Milk (200 ml)
  • Zero Calorie Sweetener (1 tablet)

Other Things You Will Need



  • Cup or Jug that can be used  as a microwave container
  • Tablespoon
  • Food Scales

Before You Start Cooking



  • Wash hands for 20 seconds using soap and water
  • Place all ingredients and other things you will need on the kitchen worktop
  • Weigh or measure ingredients as required
  • Preset microwave power to full

Method



  • Place one sweetener in a container
  • Add the custard powder
  • Add a little of the milk
  • Stir until the liquid becomes a lump free yellow colour
  • Add the rest of the milk to the container and stir well
  • Place the container in the microwave and set for 2 minutes then press start
  • Every 20-30 seconds remove the container from the microwave and give a good stir before placing it back in the microwave to continue cooking.  Repeat this process to complete the 2 minutes cycle
  • When the custard becomes a nice yellow colour and is the thickness that you like then leave the container to cool for a few minutes
  • Serve

Notes



  • If the custard is not thick enough after the 2 minutes then cook for a further 30 seconds
  • Use with your favourite cake or high calorie / carbs fruits to easily gain weight
