If you like you eggs soft or hard bold then this recipe is for you, quick and easy without the black line around the egg yolk that many people hate
Ingredients
- 2 x Medium Egg
- 1 x Pan of Water
- Salt and Pepper to Taste
Other Things You Will Need
- Sauce pan
- Slotted Turner or large spoon
Before You Start Cooking
- Wash hands for 20 seconds using soap and water
- Place all ingredients and other things you will need on the kitchen worktop
Method
- Place a pan on the hob using a high heat
- Place eggs in the pan from the fridge
- Fill the pan with cold water just above the eggs
- Bring the water in the pan to the boil
- Once boiling leave for a further 3 minutes for a soft boiled eggs
- Remove eggs from the water using the turner or large spoon
- Run under the cold water tap and then leave to cool for a couple of minutes
- Remove all of the shell
- Add salt and pepper to taste
- Serve
Notes
- Once boiling leave for a further 5 minutes for a hard boiled egg
- If cooking a batch of boiled eggs then fill a pan with cold water, add the cooked eggs and cool rather than running them under the cold water tap
- Any type of egg can be used including barn, free-range and enriched omega 3 eggs, but make sure that they are fresh
