Crafted for convenience, these dumplings are a quick fix for your cravings. With their tender, delectable fillings and perfectly folded wrappers, they prove that you can enjoy the authentic taste of dumplings without any hassle.
Ingredients
- Self Raising Flour (62 grams)
- Atora Beef Suet (62 grams)
- Cold Water (5 ml or until ball forms)
- Pinch Of Salt
Other Things You Will Need
- Food processor with metal cutting blade setting attached
- Mixing or large bowl
- Kitchen Ladle or Turner
- Colander
- Food Scales
Before You Start Cooking
- Wash hands for 20 seconds using soap and water
- Place all ingredients and other things you will need on the kitchen worktop
- Weigh the ingredients
- Set slow cooker containing casserole to high heat
Method
- Put the flour, suet and salt in the food processor
- Turn on the food processor and blitz the ingredients for 10 seconds
- Add a dash of water to the mixture and blitz for another 10 seconds, repeat until the ingredients forms a ball
- Remove the dumpling ball from the food processor
- Roll into a large sausage shape
- Divide into 8 and roll into balls
- Place all 8 balls on top of the bubbling casserole in the slow cooker
- Cook for 20-30 minutes allowing them to double in size
- Use a ladle or turner to remove the casserole and dumplings from the slow cooker to a plate or bowl
- Serve
Notes
- Fantastic for an occasional treat
- If not having a casserole then steam the dumpling balls over a pan of hot water using a small colander for 15 - 20 minutes until doubled in size
- This is very cheap to make for that perfect little family treat
