Back In The Kitchen - BBQ Spare Ribs - Recipe Sheet



30-Minute BBQ Spare Ribs – Mouthwatering Perfection in No Time!

Expertly cooked to tender, juicy perfection, these ribs are generously slathered in our signature barbecue sauce, delivering that irresistible smokiness and tangy sweetness. Satisfy your cravings and save time with this quick and delicious culinary delight.


Ingredients



  • 3 x BBQ Flavoured Boneless Spare Ribs
  • 1 x Tablespoon Grapeseed Oil (15 ml)
  • Water (Approx. 200 ml)
  • BBQ Seasoning (1 Cap Optional)

Other Things You Will Need



  • Frying pan
  • 750w Microwave
  • Kitchen tongs or fork

Before You Start Cooking



  • Defrost Ribs over 12 hours in the fridge until thawed or use a microwave on defrost setting for 6 minutes
  • Wash hands for 20 seconds using soap and water
  • Place all ingredients and other things you will need on the kitchen worktop
  • Weigh or measure ingredients as required
  • Boil a kettle of water

Method



  • Place a frying pan on the hob using maximum heat
  • Put the grapeseed oil in a frying pan and heat until sizzling
  • Turn down heat to approximately half keeping the oil sizzling
  • Add spare ribs and fry for five minutes until brown, moving them occasionally with the tongs or fork
  • Turn ribs over using the tongs or fork and fry for a further five minutes, moving them occasionally, until brown
  • Fill the frying pan with boiling water from the kettle until level with the spare ribs
  • Move each rib pushing down to the bottom of the pan to increase flavour
  • Boil for 8 minutes
  • Turn the ribs over and move them around the frying pan pushing down to the bottom to increase flavour
  • Boil for further 8 minutes or until the water thickens turning into a sauce
  • Remove the ribs from the frying pan using kitchen tongs 
  • Pour the sauce from the frying pan over the ribs
  • Serve

Notes



  • If using plain ribs then add 1 cap of BBQ seasoning during frying to flavour
  • The Recipe works equally well with beef and pork ribs
  • The video shows bonless spare ribs being cooked, if on the bone add a little more water and cook for a further 5 minutes each side to ensure the meat is soft
